ABSTRACT

DEWA SAPUTRA LUMBANGKILA C 101 14 204, Analysis of Potential and Development of Poso District Region, Central Sulawesi Province. Guided by the Chief Supervisor, Eko Jokolelono and Assistant Counselor Nudiatulhuda Mangun.
The purpose of this study was to determine the rate of economic growth, analyze the base sector and analyze sectors that have the potential to spur regional development in Poso District. The results showed that economic growth in Poso District was 6.36 percent supported by the agricultural sector with the forestry, fisheries, livestock, plantation and food crops subsectors and construction. The results of the LQ analysis of the base sector in Poso Regency are 11 sectors, namely the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sector, the large and retail trade sector, car and motorcycle repair, the transportation and warehousing sector, the accommodation and food supply sector, the information and communication sector, the service sector finance and insurance, real estate sector, government administration sector, mandatory defense and social security, education services sector and health services sector and social activities and other service sectors. The results of the typology classification analysis in Poso Regency have 6 sectors that are criteria for the advanced and rapidly growing sectors, 4 sectors enter the advanced sector but are depressed and 3 sectors enter the relatively developing sector and there are 4 sectors that are relatively underdeveloped. The government is expected to pay more attention to sectors with slower growth rates, and prioritize sectors that are the base sector to be further developed and sectors whose criteria are advanced and rapidly growing sectors because the sector has the potential to spur the development of the Poso Regency region and find solutions so that the agricultural sector can become advanced and rapidly growing sector.
